Alleluia, j’ai enfin terminé de tricoter mon pull d’inspiration irlandaise ! Celui-là, il m’aura donné du fil à retordre (ne pas s’attarder sur le jeu de mot lamentable, merci!). Mais ça valait vraiment le coup de batailler, je l’adore, et il me protège bien des premiers frimas de l’hiver (oui, il était temps!)

Hallelujah, I finally finished knitting my Irish inspired jumper ! It was very hard to knit but it was definitely worth struggling a little bit with all this wool. I love it, and it’s perfectly warm for the start of winter !

Lundi je vous parlais de ma difficulté de me mettre dans le bain des soldes… Et bien c’est officiel, je suis guérie ! Est-ce un bien? Sûrement pas pour mon compte en banque, mais c’est le jeu ma pauvre Lucette… Voici donc un petit aperçu d’une partie du butin (et j’y ai ajouté un intrus…le pull que je viens enfin de terminer!). C’est tout pour aujourd’hui (pas le temps ni le courage de faire des photos en ce moment) mais je reviens avec du look très vite, c’est promis !

Monday I told you about my difficulty to get into the sale… Well it’s official, I’m cured from this ! Is this good? Certainly not for my bank account, but this is the game… Here is a glimpse of part of what I got (I added an intruder … the sweater I’ve finally finished to knit !). That’s all for today (not the time nor the courage to take pictures right now) but I come back with some outfits very quickly, I promise!

Almost two years after buying this dress with its missing bow, I finally managed to sew another one and put it on the dress ! It may not look as good as the original one, but it’s there…Well, late is better than never !

La nature nous offre un bien joli spectacle en ce moment, à l’image de ce lac gelé sur lequel on se verrait bien patiner! Et pour braver ce froid, la mamie tricoteuse qui sommeille en moi a encore frappé avec cet hybride de cape et de snood bien chaud. Et sinon, en parlant de lac (vous avez remarqué, je soigne mes transitions hein), j’ai hâte de pouvoir voir les costumes que la maison Rodarte a créé pour Black Swan… Car si je ne suis pas sûre d’aimer le film qui parait un poil trop névrosé pour moi, je ne pense pas pouvoir être déçue par les costumes qui semblent très prometteurs !

Nature is offering us pretty landscapes, just like this frozen lake on which we cold almost skate ! And to fight the cold, the knitter inside me has stroked again with this hybrid snood cape.  Speaking of the lake (you noticed how my transitions are smooth) I can’t wait to see the costumes that Rodarte created for Black Swan … Because although I’m not sure to like the film, I don’t think I could be disappointed by the costumes that seem very promising !

Profitant de cette journée plus douce, j’ai oublié manteau et gros gilet pour ne porter qu’un gros pull. Et pas n’importe quel pull.. En effet c’est c’est moi qui l’ai fait ! Tout de suite repéré sur le catalogue Phildar (oui Phildar…la Mecque des petites mamies en mal d’activité…ma seconde maison presque!), je me lance donc dans la folle aventure du tricot. Avec les frayeurs des mailles perdues, les incertitudes quant au patron choisi, les sueurs froides lors des diminutions…Finalement le tricot c’est loin d’être de tout repos !  Je suis contente de l’avoir fini rapidement, car il est juste parfait pour la saison, et sa couleur se marie merveilleusement bien aux feuilles mortes. Et pour compléter ma tenue, je porte des bottines vintage achetées à Londres et un bonnet piqué au boyfriend (qui ne cache pas du tout l’épi avec lequel je me suis réveillée)

Because that day was warmer, I wanted to forget about big coats or jacket to wear only a sweater … And not just any sweater! I made it ! Immediately spotted on the knitting catalog, I decided to start the crazy adventure of knitting. With fears of lost stitches, uncertainties about the pattern chosen … Finally knitting is far from being easy! I am happy I have finished it quickly because it is just perfect for the season, and its color blends beautifully with the autumn leaves. And to complete my outfit, I’m wearing vintage boots from London and a cap stolen from the boyfriend (which is absolutely not here to hide my messy hair)

*Petite digression culinaire* Le dimanche soir, c’est pas souvent drôle, alors quoi de mieux que quelques douceurs pour égayer un peu tout ça (okay, sauf pour la ligne) ? J’ai cédé à la folie cupcakes, et j’avoue, je comprend maintenant un peu mieux cet engouement autour de ces petits gâteaux tous mignons. C’est sympa à faire, ludique et très simple (pour un peu qu’on ait compris comment fonctionne la poche à douille!). Voici donc M. cupcake myrtille et M. cupcake citron ! Et la prochaine fois, je me lance dans la confection de macarons, et ça, ça sera une toute autre histoire !

(Cupcake myrtille : 125 g de sucre, 2 oeufs, 125g de beurre,  125 g de farine, 1/2 sachet de levure chimique, quelques myrtilles. Glaçage : 170g de sucre glace, 110g de beurre, colorant bleu)

* A little culinary digression * Sunday night is usually not funny, so what better than some sweet cakes to brighten up things a little (okay, except if you’re on a diet)? I succumbed to the cupcake madness, and I confess, I now understand a little better all this enthusiasm around these cut cakes. It’s fun to do and very simple (when you finally figured out how to use the pastry bag!). Here is Mr. Blueberry cupcake and Mr. Lemon cupcake! And next time I’ll try to make macaroons, and that is a different story!

(Blueberry Cupcake: 125 g sugar, 2 eggs, 125g butter, 125g flour, 1 / 2 teaspoon baking powder, a few blueberries. Icing: 170g icing sugar, 110g butter, blue colorant)

Let’s end the week with some dreamy pictures… In the main role here is the result of a few months hard work : the feather/fur jacket ! I confess, I’d rather finish it in winter because it would have warm and also because it reminds me of Snow Queen… But when you knit, you have to be patient! And still it won’t prevent me to wear at the beginning of spring … Have a good weekend!

Une tenue, deux nouveaux venus ! Tout d’abord, ce sac d’anniversaire : je cherchais depuis longtemps ma perle rare, c’est à dire un sac assez grand noir au style un peu rock, avec des anses ET une bandoulière  pour pouvoir le porter à la main, à l’épaule ou en besace. Bien sûr, le Balenciaga de Tokyobanhbao correspondait  à ces critères mais bon…Du coup quand j’ai vu celui là, j’ai su que ma quête était finie ! Ouf ! Quant au deuxième nouveau venu, c’est bien sûr cette écharpe tricotée par mes soins. Je vous avais confié mon envie de me remettre au tricot, c’est désormais chose faite! Maintenant il ne me reste plus qu’à trouver un nouveau projet… Bon week-end !

One outfit, two newcomers! Firstly, this bag I got for my birthday : I was looking for a black bag big enough, with handles and a shoulder strap to carry by hand to by shoulder. Of course, Tokyobanhbao‘s Balenciaga  matched these criteria perfectly, but well … So when I saw this one, I knew my search was over! The second newcomer, of course, is this scarf knitted by me. I had told you I wanted to get  back to knitting, now it is done! Now it remains for me to find a new project …Have a good weekend!

Que faire d’une robe H&M  imprimée de jolies rayures marines certes, mais avec un col roulé, surtout quand on déteste les cols roulés (eh oui, traumatisme d’enfance) ? On le remixe ! Bye bye le maudit col, on ajoute des épaulettes, une pincée de sequins et tada !Voici une robe mi glam, mi marin, qui me donne la légère l’impression un instant d’être dans la peau de  David Bowie…
